Well today I am going to attempt to stipple this small quilt. Been putting it off for a few years now. I think it is very pretty, so hope it works well. If it doesn't work, my hubby will be doing some ripping..
I will post a picture of the finished stippling... On more contemplating, I think maybe I should just do a grid with my walking foot.. Not quite sure now..
Ok, I will give myself 10 min. to decide and then just sit down and sew it. Ok, I will stipple..
No wait, I will do a grid.. Yes I'll try to stipple.. No, take the easy way and do a grid.. Yes, Gail try the stipple.. No do a grid, its easier or is it?.. ( this is my mind talking to itself)

Anyways I'll post what I decided to do..
God Bless..

So this is as far as I got on my dads quilt.. Now I am hand sewing the sashing between the blocks.
Only has to be done for March 31st. but I know if I put it away for a later date to sew the sashing and put on the binding afterwards, I will probably only start up again on it at the last minute.. And I don't want to do that... I saw a tutorial for a star block and I am so anxious to try it among a couple other things I am anxious to try. I also want to clean up all my fabric stash.. My sewing room right now is such a mess and is so disorganized.. In a few weeks we are expecting a chinese student and my sewing stuff  comes down stairs again.. Going to miss my sewing room.. but my hubby already cleaned a little area for me to host my sewing table and bins.

Well thats it for this post...
God Bless...

Here are pictures of Lauryns quilt.. I asked my hubby if he would like to pick one of the flowers and he said yes. So he picked the flower in the corner of the bottom right.. He did a good job of it too...

Wow.. Been quite awhile since I posted anything on my blog.. Have to say, I thought about posting, but it was always when I was doing something else. Excuses, excuses.. I know. Lol
So I finished my grand daughters quilt. She loves it!

I had such a wonderful Christmas this year. Crazy me, I know, I usually stressed about spending equal amount of time between my sons and their family who just live one block apart but my two wonderful sons had it all worked out for us and my oldest son and my hubby made the turkey supper.
My next post, I'll post pictures of my progress with the making of my dads quilt. Made from men's shirts, it's a quilt as you go.

MY SUMMER CHALLENGE....

This is my summer challenge from the quilt guild in Bathurst... I also combined the Dalhousie quilt guild challenge with the Bathurst guild challenge..
My pick from the bag was a lemon tea box..
My ugly fabric from the Dalhousie guild is the green border around my wall hanging..
According to my son Mitch who is an artist for Speilo in moncton where he draws amazing characters like snow white, my lemons are huge and my flowers are way out of whack.. but he says that this is my art and that there is nothing wrong with it..
In saying this, I sent him an email with a picture of my project before it was sewn to ask about  size of my lemons and he wrote back that it was all fine for what I was doing and in a side note he wrote " If my mom asks me about the size of her lemons again, I am going to die".. Well, I laughed and laughed at that...

My lemon tea box... A little worn as I carried it around everywhere with me looking for colors..

My "When Life Hands You Lemons..." wall hanging..
 On to another project..
God Bless......
