Wow.. Been quite awhile since I posted anything on my blog.. Have to say, I thought about posting, but it was always when I was doing something else. Excuses, excuses.. I know. Lol
So I finished my grand daughters quilt. She loves it!

I had such a wonderful Christmas this year. Crazy me, I know, I usually stressed about spending equal amount of time between my sons and their family who just live one block apart but my two wonderful sons had it all worked out for us and my oldest son and my hubby made the turkey supper.
My next post, I'll post pictures of my progress with the making of my dads quilt. Made from men's shirts, it's a quilt as you go.

  3. Wendy..I can't see my pic either so I will put up another post from my computer instead of my ipad... As for the shirt quilt I'm making for my dad, I sliced up one block a little and didn't really want to try to make another disappearing nine patch and besides I didn't have anymore of the white fabric for the back... sooo my hubby, smartie pants that he is, suggested I put a tag ( is it called a tag? ) saying who made the quilt right at that sliced spot.. so I zig zagged my faux pas and will put on the front a tag that says" I love you dad" and on the back of the quilt where the zig zag stitch is, I will put a tag with my name and date the quilt was made.. Made sure I put the repaired block at the bottom..
As for the garden, I have to humbly admit that my hubby won this past summers garden challenge.. My side did not grow very well at all. I had to replant my string beans 3 times as the slugs got to them. And my celery didn't even grow.. They stayed small but alive.. Never seen anything like it.. lol Next summer I will grow mostly root vegetables.
